Vauxhall Heritage Centre: A chance to see the Sunday sports
|
|
This year, the Vauxhall Heritage Centre’s annual open day, run in conjunction with the Luton Festival of Transport, will celebrate the marque’s impressive performance heritage. Sports models of yesteryear, such as the Prince Henry and 30/98, will be displayed alongside those of the present day, including the latest VXR line-up with the all-new Corsa variant.
Based at the Heritage Centre in Park Street, Luton, the event takes place on Sunday June 10th 2007 with free entry, and as well as a timeline of performance models, visitors can view the company’s 50-plus strong collection of classics.
From the very first 1903 Vauxhall through to ‘modern’ classics such as the last ever Monaro, the Heritage Collection contains over a century’s worth of classic Vauxhall models, including favourites such as the F-Type Victor, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, and the racy VXR 220.
There will also be entertainment throughout the day for all the family, including a BTCC racing simulator plus children’s activities.
The open day will run from 10am to 5pm and a free bus service will run throughout the day between the Vauxhall Heritage Centre and the Luton Festival of Transport at Stockwood Park – ideal for those who want a fantastic classic transport themed day out!
