As if Renault’s ever popular chic supermini, Clio didn’t already offer the perfect range line-up, customers are now set to benefit even further from more choice with three new versions added to the list.

In three-door form, the Clio will now offer nine trim levels in its impressive line-up, with prices ranging from £7,485 for the entry-level Freeway 1.2 16V 75 to £13,480 for the Dynamique SX dCi 106 with air conditioning.

The nine trims available to order now in three-door are Freeway, Extreme, TomTom, Expression, Rip Curl, Dynamique, Dynamique SX and Dynamique S 138.

The 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE engine will be available on both three and five-door versions.

Clio TomTom
Clio TomTom offers a TomTom ONE GB portable satellite navigation system worth £179 as standard and is available in three-door only. The Clio TomTom is well-suited to the style-conscious who also want comfort and practicality, as well as the latest technological advances.

TomTom, European market leader and the world’s largest navigation solutions provider, was Renault’s natural partnership choice for the special navigation edition of Clio. The system itself, TomTom ONE is the world’s best-selling portable satellite navigation device and Clio TomTom customers can also make use of TomTom Home, TomTom’s free software application that simplifies the process of downloading and installing new content and services such as safety camera locations and traffic information.

The Clio TomTom is available in two engine choices 1.2 16V 75 at £9,260 and dCi 68 at £10,230. The dCi 68 falls into one of the lowest VED bands (B) with only £35 due in Vehicle Excise Duty.

The 1.2 16V 75 offers a combined mpg of 47.9 and CO2 emissions of 139 g/km, whilst the dCi 68 has a combined mpg of 62.8 and low CO2 emissions of 120 g/km.

Based on the Extreme trim, Clio TomTom features the following additional standard equipment:

Leather steering wheel and gearknob, satin chrome exterior and interior door handles, blue centre console with blue dashboard inserts, satin chrome dial surrounds and the TomTom ONE GB satellite navigation system.

The Clio TomTom also features specific TomTom badging on both the interior and exterior.

Customers can also upgrade the standard TomTom system to cover Europe as a £50 option, and an MP3 compatible CD player with four speakers, two tweeters and fingertip remote control is available as an option at £125 to make sure you can listen to whatever music takes your fancy.

All-new 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE (Turbo Control Efficiency) engine
The 1.2 Turbo 100 (Turbo Control Efficiency) engine launches in the small car range in Clio and Modus offering economical benefits without compromising on power.

Based on the existing 1.2 16V 75, the new engine features a turbo which provides the torque of the 1.6 VVT 111 engine, the power of the 1.4 16V and the economy and emissions of the 1.2 16V 75.

With a combined mpg of 47.9, a top speed of 114 mph and 145Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm, the 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE offers frugal fuel economy and a powerful performance.

The 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE produces just 140 g/km of CO2 which will incur road fund licence of just £115 per year. Compared to the existing 1.4 16V 98 (158/161 g/km) and the 1.6 VVT 111 (160/163 g/km), which the new 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE will replace from May on Clio and Modus, that fall into Band D at £140 VED, this represents a saving of £25 per year.

The new 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE is available in the following engines/ trims:

In Modus, the 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE is available in Expression at £10,510 and Dynamique S at £11,155.

Dynamique SX
The Clio Dynamique SX is packed full of legendary Va Va Voom, ensuring the car stands out from the crowd with its sporty good looks. The sport kit, incorporating front, rear and side skirts and body-coloured rear spoiler, is standard and the engines available are quick and frugal, the perfect combination!

The Dynamique SX is available with the all-new 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE engine at £11,440 (or £11,965 with air conditioning) and the 1.5 dCi 106 six speed at £13,480.

The impressive performance figures for the 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE are outlined above, but the 1.5 dCi 106 also performs equally well offering a combined mpg of 61.4 and CO2 emissions of 123 g/km. With top speed of 118 mph, the 1.5 dCi 106 produces 240Nm at 2-2,500 rpm.

Based on the best-selling Dynamique and priced at just £265 above the standard Dynamique S, the Dynnamique SX offers excellent value for money with customers with a saving of almost 70% on the standard option price of the sport kit.

The new versions of Clio, TomTom, 1.2 Turbo 100 TCE and Dynamique SX, are available to order now and look set to make 2007 an even bigger Va Va Voom filled success for Clio.

Insurance groups have are hot off the press and are very competitive with the Clio TomTom at a low 2E, Dynamique SX and all other Turbo versions are 4E.
