Iveco has expanded its ready-to-go range of CargoLiner bodied vehicles with the launch of a new Brit-Tipp Deluxe tipper – set to prove a popular attraction for 7.5 tonne tipper customers.

This means an operator will be able to walk into any of Iveco’s participating CargoLiner dealerships in the UK and order a Eurocargo 75E16K Deluxe tipper and - subject to availability - could be driving it away within hours.

The new body is based on the hugely popular CargoLiner tipper, which so far in 2007 accounts for 23 per cent of all 7.5 tonne Eurocargos purchased with a tipper body.  For the Deluxe model, it has been extensively modified and offers a host of additional features and benefits, including an 80 kg payload increase, which has been obtained through the use of aluminium dropsides and tailgate (as opposed to steel).

It also benefits from new galvanised components, offering greater durability and reliability, whilst improving appearance and enhancing residual values.  The use of bolt-on key components – such as tailgate fixings, tailgate lugs and towbar assemblies – ensures easier repairs, helping to minimise possible repair costs and reduce unexpected vehicle downtime.

The Deluxe model also replaces the mesh used in the standard headboard with a single laser cut sheet of aluminium, providing additional strength in the event of the load moving against the gantry.  The new headboard is also bolted to the body, allowing it to be easily replaced.

David Burke, Product Director at Iveco, explains: “The specification has been enhanced following close consultation with the Iveco distributor network and key customers, ensuring its launch will help to further extend Iveco’s lead in the 7.5 tonne tipper market.”

Both the CargoLiner tipper and CargoLiner Deluxe tipper bodies are available as standard on the Eurocargo 76E16K chassis, which is powered by Iveco’s 3.9 litre tector engine, delivering up to 160 hp at 2,700 rev/min and up to 530 Nm of torque between 1,200 and 2,100 rev/min.  The two bodies are also available to order on other Eurocargo tipper models.

Other bodies available in the CargoLiner range include CargoLiner box, curtainside and dropside bodies produced by Boalloy.
