Across the USA in a Setra touring coach

World Wide Gruppenreisen (WWG), which specialises in luxury coach tours through the USA and Canada, is underlining the exclusivity of its brand with a new Setra TopClass 400 coach. The equipment package on board the S 416 HDH, which will be used to transport German tourists around the USA starting in the 2008 season, leaves nothing to be desired.

The equipment specification of the three-axle vehicle includes a glass roof, panorama camera, fully fitted kitchen, rear lounge with five seats, PC connections, DVD changer, flat-screen monitors in the center aisle and an eight-channel audio system. The backs of the passenger seats feature controllable headphones for the multi-channel sound system. The total of 23 leather seats in a generously laid-out 2+1 configuration are provided with additional leg rests. The key criteria behind the Dachau-based tour operator's decision in favour of a Setra were not only the high level of passenger comfort, but also the multitude of safety and support systems, such as the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and adaptive cruise control (ART).

"Our tours to the USA are above all in the high-price segment of the market. So customers must get what they pay for," explains Konrad Pramsohler, owner and managing director of World Wide Gruppenreisen. "Our new range of exclusive tours with the World Wide Traveller’s Club means yet a further climb in the standards we require of our touring coaches. Setra understood our concept and offered us precisely the service we needed."

Apart from being the right product for this particular segment of the market, it’s above all the service and parts supply for Setra in USA that are decisive. A highly efficient service network and support concept, consisting of the company’s own service centres, Mobile On-Road Service and authorised service partners, also help make Setra coaches feel at home anywhere in USA.

The S 416 HDH, which the company will present for the first time from August 7 to 9 at the RDA Workshop in Cologne, is highly attractive not only in relation to the interior comfort it offers. The vehicle's eye-catching exterior, including the Statue of Liberty, Golden Gate Bridge, a historic Mississippi paddle-steamer, Mount Rushmore and the Capitol in Washington, offers a colourful potpourri of the sights of America.
The digitally created decals are the work of the Design Centre in Ulm and were expertly applied by the paintwork specialists of Setra's colour-finish team at the bus plant in Neu-Ulm.
