Volkswagen Finance: new fixed-price service plan offers reassurance for customers

Volkswagen Finance is offering customers easy budgeting, transparent pricing and the opportunity to save money with the launch of the fixed-price service plan, available on a wide range of models.

From 1st December 2007 until 30th June 2008, all retail customers purchasing a new Fox, Polo, Golf, Golf Plus, Golf Estate, Jetta or Touran can opt for a fixed-price service plan costing just £200 for three years or 30,000 Miles (whichever comes first).

This offer saves customers money – but, equally important, it means they can have their vehicle serviced within the franchised Volkswagen Retailer network.

Nigel Brotherton, Head of Loyalty at Volkswagen UK says: ‘Our research shows that customers like to have their vehicles looked after and maintained within the Volkswagen Retailer network, but there is a perception that this is expensive.  They also like to know in advance what their servicing costs will be.  This plan gives customers simple, transparent pricing and great value for money, as well as the reassurance which comes from knowing their service has been carried out by our experienced and highly trained technicians within the Volkswagen network.’

Another benefit of the fixed-price service plan is that it can be transferred to a new owner if the vehicle is sold before three years or 30,000 miles, which could enhance the resale proposition.

The service plan is offered through Volkswagen Finance, but is open to all retail customers – not just those purchasing with finance.  Those preferring to pay with cash or cheque can do so; or alternatively the cost can be incorporated into the Volkswagen Finance plan, costing just a few pounds each month.

The fixed-price service plan covers routine servicing on selected models based on the Time and Distance regimes.  For Polo, Golf, Golf Plus, Golf Estate, Jetta and Touran models, the service schedule comprises an oil service at 12 months / 10,000 miles; a service at 24 months / 20,000 miles; and full service at 36 months / 30,000 Miles with oil and brake fluid change.  On Fox models, at the same intervals, customers will receive an oil service, inspection service with oil and brake fluid change and final oil service.

The offer applies to routine servicing and excludes maintenance and other items.
