Vincent Capillarie completes successful test with ART Motorsports

French kart driver Vincent Capillaire acquitted himself well in testing one of the Asia Racing team (ART) Motorsports Formula Renault 2.0 race cars at Zhuhai International Circuit.

The Macanese team based in China continued its preparations for the 2008 Asian Formula Renault Challenge with another test-day test at ZIC. The main focus of attention for the ART crew was the driver’s reliability, speed and set-up work. Although this was the first time for Vicent Capillarie in the permanent Chinese motor
racing circuit, at the end of the two days of testing the French driver achieved promising times.

Commenting on his testing, Vincent Capillaire said: “Zhuhai Circuit fast layout is not for the faint-hearted. I get used to the car during the first day. Thus, in the
second day we made a lot of positive changes that helped me to understand the car a little better. Philippe taught me new driving techniques and we improved the times. This test motivated me to go racing this season. Furthermore, racing on Asian continent entice me”.

ART Team Principal Philippe Descombes added, "It was really nice to be able to work with Vincent. We picked up some good lap times throughout the two days. To be even more competitive we will have to have a further testing sessions during the pre-season. Vincent has skills and ability, so we can be on the race pace very quickly".

The Asian Formula Renault Challenge continues to be the premier open-wheel development series in Asia, particularly in China. Asia Racing Team (ART) Motorsports will
run three or four cars in 2008 season.
