The Richard Burns Foundation (RBF) has again, this year, been appointed as the official charity for the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 11-13 July. After the amazing support shown last year RBF are sending out the call for volunteers young and old to help the cause during the event at Goodwood next month.
 
At the request of Goodwood, RBF will be raising funds for the ‘Make-a-Wish’ Foundation which has been specially chosen this year by the McRae family.
 
Signing up to become a volunteer just got a little bit better with the organisers of the festival in conjunction with RBF announcing that one lucky volunteer, per day, is in for a chance of winning a ride in a rally car. Each day, every volunteer who signs on will automatically go into a draw for the chance to be blasted around the 2.5 kilometre Goodwood forest stage.
 
Current BRC Champion and WRC part-timer Guy Wilks has already been confirmed as a competitor who will be taking one lucky volunteer for the ride of their life. Rumours circulating the volunteer’s prize have suggested a ride with one or more of the WRC’s fulltime superstars is certainly on the table and likely to be confirmed in the next two weeks.
 
Volunteers will be asked to help with bucket collections and at RBF stands from 15:00 – 19:00 on either one or all three days of the festival. Helping on just one day will give volunteers free access into the grounds for the entire duration of that day.
 
A packed lunch will be provided to each volunteer per day with some exciting incentives available for people who shake the RBF bucket the hardest and bring in those healthy donations.
