Trafficmaster, the leading supplier of intelligent driving services, today announces a major further development of its relationship with Citroën vans. In a first for the UK high cube van sector, the manufacturer’s new Berlingo van (excluding the 1.6i 625 x model), will have Trafficmaster’s Smartnav and stolen vehicle tracking fitted as standard. The newly launched Berlingo will be on sale in the UK from 5 June 2008.

The equipment is already fitted as standard to Citroën’s Dispatch and Relay panel vans and in a 2008 enhancement, Citroën will now be offering a free, three year subscription to the Active Traffic Management service made possible through Trafficmaster’s comprehensive network of 7,500 fixed traffic sensors. The Active Traffic Management feature, which is an integral part of  Trafficmaster’s Smartnav, is unique in its ability to save time and fuel and thus considerably improve vehicle productivity. Smartnav saves existing subscribers four hours a month. 

All Smartnav and stolen vehicle tracking fitted vehicles will also have the option to access Fleet Director, Trafficmaster’s comprehensive fleet management and tracking solution.

Fleet Director allows vehicle operators to locate drivers, increase productivity, cut costs and even support duty of care programmes.”
