Get a Second Life with Vauxhall Corsa

Are you lost in cyberspace? Kicking your heels in reality and looking to escape from it all? Or are you just plain bored? If so, Vauxhall Corsa has the answer to your troubles as it launches a hunt for the hottest places to visit in Second Life (www.secondlife.com ), the internet-based virtual world.

What Car? magazine’s Car of the Year 2007 has teamed up with some of the most impressive, exciting and fun locations in Second Life. Corsa is giving them the chance to be included in the first guide to in-world fun as voted for by users themselves – The Corsa Guide to Getting a (Second) Life.

Corsa has drawn up a list of weird, wild and wacky Second Life locations (a complete list can be found at www.corsaguide.co.uk ) including places as diverse as wonderful water parks, awesome fantasy gardens and crazy nightclubs where anything is possible.

From 15 May 2007, Corsa voting kiosks will appear in all selected locations. If visitors like the attraction, and think it’s worthy of making the top ten, then they can click and vote at the kiosk. The complete top ten will be included in the Corsa Guide to Getting a (Second) Life, to be unveiled mid June 2007.

Shelley Perkins, at Vauxhall Corsa, known as Shelley Soderstrom in-world, said “In real life, Corsa is synonymous with having a good time and now we want to help people have fun ‘virtually’ too. It’s a new world to explore, and it can be confusing finding your way around. This initiative will help newcomers find the best places to enjoy.”
