Suzuki presents itself with a lively world premiere at the 62nd International MotorShow 2007 from 13th– 23rdSeptember in Frankfurt. The newly developed compact car Splash is the fourth world strategic model within only three years. Like its predecessors, Swift, Grand Vitara and SX4, Splash is orientated strongly towards the European design style which continues Suzuki’s worldwide strategy.
A further highpoint is the introduction of the Concept Kizashi. This breakthrough into the middle class segment is a sign from the twelfth largest automobile producer worldwide of the important step from compact and four wheel specialists into a complete production line-up. Additional attention will also be extended tothe World Rally Championship version of the SX4, which will make an appearance in Frankfurt before facing the first test in the middle of October at the “Rallye de France”. Besides the current selling models, some highlights from Suzuki’smotorcyclesand marine products are exhibited on the booth.
Suzuki Splash: The fresh stylishfamily car
The first phase of the new world strategy was implemented with the focus point on “Sporty”, leading Swift, Grand Vitara and SX4to success.Splash is now comingthrough in the second phase. The complete new development of the compact car was primarily targeted forfamilies enjoying active lifestylein mind through the exciting colour concept, fresh design, exuberant and cheerfulspiritsand driving fun. The 3,7 meters long and 1,7 meters wide attractive car will be available in Spring of 2008 in three enginevariations: as a 1,0 liter-three cylinderpetrol(48 kW/65 PS), 1.2 liter-fourcylinder petrol (63 kW/86 PS) and 1.3 literDDiS turbodiesel(55 kW/75 PS)with an optionaldiesel particulate filter.Complying with the Euro-4emissions standard, the CO2emissions for the vehicles with five speed manual transmissionvary between 120 and 140 g/km . For safety the Splash is equipped with the standard featuressuch as anti-lock braking system (ABS)andelectronic brake-force distributionsystem (EBD). The electronic stability program (ESP)* and six airbags (dual front airbags, dual seat-side airbags, dual curtain airbags) are equipped for certain models. Starting in the Spring of 2008, the new eye-catchers will be runningthrough the cities.

The Concept Kizashi: Breakthrough into the middle class segment
Full of energy, flexible and emotionally appealing – this is how the first model of the third phase of the world strategy should be, an invitation from Suzukiwith the Concept Kizashi (Japanese word for “prelude” or “foretaste”). In the mainpoint of this strategy phase is the theme “Status”. In the setting of the Frankfurt Motor Show, the concept car will be presented to the world public for the first time. With this middle class model the Japanese automobile producer will complete its upward breakthrough and be able to offer wide spectrum of selections in the market.
