Tata Motors Unveils Sumo Grande at Its Biggest Ever Presence at the Auto Expo

Tata Motors is showcasing a new range of 17 models of cars, utility vehicles, trucks and buses at the 5200-square meter Tata-Fiat pavillion, its largest ever presence at the Auto Expo, being held in New Delhi, India from January 11-17, 2008.

The company launched the new Sumo Grande, which will be available in showrooms through January and beginning of February.

The new Sumo Grande combines the looks of an SUV with the comforts of a family car. Designed with a longer wheelbase of 2550 mm (existing 2400 mm), the Sumo Grande sports comfortable three row seating with third row seats.

The vehicle is powered by the new generation 2.2 L direct injection common rail (DICOR) engine, fitted with a variable geometry turbocharger. Tata Motors will be unveiling the much awaited People's Car on January 10.
