The initial units of the 140 hp Seat Altea freetrack 2.0 TDI equipped with 4 wheel drive are now on sale throughout the Seat dealership network, making the allroader’s engine range more complete. The freetrack now features three engine versions – two Diesel and one petrol, all delivering excellent performance and extreme driving pleasure with effective response over any terrain.

The arrival of the 140 hp 2.0 TDI engine is SEAT’s response to the growing demand for combining economical efficient diesel engines with allroad vehicles; and in the case of the Altea freetrack, four-wheel drive via a Haldex-type arrangement with a hydro-mechanical connection and electronic control.

Besides, this elastic, direct-injection turbo engine includes the DPF particulate filter as standard, effectively filtering soot particles and helping to lower CO2emissions to a level of 171 g/km.

The 140 hp Seat Altea freetrack 2.0 TDI is available for 27,900 €*, and features a broad range of equipment, including ABS, TCS, ESP + DSR with EBA, tyre pressure sensor, front side and head airbags, switchable passenger airbag, cruise control, trip computer, CD MP3 radio with steering wheel controls and AUX-in connection, electro-mechanical power steering, dual climate control, electric heated door mirrors, twin chrome exhaust, Elox roof racks, leather steering wheel and gearknob, front power one-touch anti-trap windows, foglamps, rain sensing wipers, ´coming home´ headlight function, Isofix and 225/50 tyres on 17 inch alloy rims, among others.

The Altea freetrack also includes the sophisticated new Seat Mediasystem navigator as an option, characterised by its 6.5 inch colour touch screen with VGA resolution (800x400), and a 30 Gb hard disc that greatly enhances route planning speed. The navigator’s mapbase is no longer available on CD, but a DVD with six times more storage capacity. The Seat Mediasystem contains a standard collection of 28 maps of Western European countries that get downloaded once to the hard disc.
