UK: Seat upgrade its appeal this spring

24 aprile 2008

Hot on the heels of its most successful single sales month ever (in March, with registrations totalling 6,881, source: SMMT), and with a host of exciting new models just around the corner, Seat is cementing its position as a commercial success this spring with an arsenal of tempting new offers.

Enticing deals across the Spanish maker’s dynamic line-up, including low rate Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) finance offers and generous free equipment upgrades, are being put in place to keep Seat at the forefront of canny car buyers’ minds.

The inviting incentives begin with a great deal on the current Ibiza supermini.  SEAT’s best-selling single model range last month, with upwards of 2,800 Ibizas finding homes here, the sporty supermini is being offered with no-deposit, low rate Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) terms with a typical APR of just 6.9%.

Available across the Ibiza range (excluding Ecomotive), the offer adds up to some attractive numbers.  For example if buyers opt to put in some money at the start of the deal, the popular Ibiza 1.2 Reference Sport three-door is on offer at £1,979 deposit, followed by 35 manageable monthly payments of just £129.

Meanwhile, buyers of certain Leon, Altea and Altea XL models are being invited to upgrade for free, and save as much as £1,350 in the process.  Opting to upgrade from a Leon 1.6 Reference to the lavishly-equipped 1.6 Stylance, for instance, delivers a chunky saving of £1,350, while moving from a Leon 1.9 TDI Reference to the 1.9 TDI Stylance results in a £1,250 boost for buyers’ bank balances.

The option of higher spec’ without a higher price means Leon buyers can look forward to, among many other things, the likes of dual zone climate control air conditioning, ‘one shot’ electric rear windows with dark tinted privacy glass, eight-speaker stereo AM/FM radio and single-disc CD, Smart 16” alloys and the reassurance of ESP Electronic Stability Programme and EBA Emergency Braking Assistance for free.

Toledo and Alhambra buyers have not been overlooked, either.  All models in both ranges are now being offered with a simple £1,000 off the RRP, meaning the Toledo can be had for as little as £14,205 RRP while the seven-seat Alhambra is now available from just £15,455 RRP.

The new range of offers, which are all subject to terms and conditions and are available at participating dealers, runs until 31st May this year.

SEAT UK Head of Marketing, Steve Robertson, said of the latest deals: ‘We’re confident that these attractive incentives, allied to the natural appeal of the sporty, lively and design-driven Seat line-up, will help us maintain the impressive sales momentum we have built up this year.

‘Beyond this we have the new Ibiza five-door arriving in showrooms this summer, which we’re certain will generate even more interest in SEAT.’
