A Ł1.5million investment at the new Central Škoda retailer in Birmingham will create 18 new jobs and bring the Manufacturer of Happy Drivers to the north of the city.
The dealership which opens on Tyburn Road on 21 July will offer a full range of Škoda models including the brand new Škoda Superb which will be launched in September.
A priority service scheme will also be available which means that as the vehicle gets older, the servicing becomes more economical, giving motorists more value throughout the life of the car.
As well as providing servicing for all makes, Central Škoda will offer over 100 used cars and a tyre, exhaust and MOT centre.
Retailer Principal, Mike Byrne, is a fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry and has invested in the new dealership because of his belief in Škoda. He comments: “The Škoda brand keeps growing due to its focus on customer satisfaction and I’m really pleased to be a part of that. The product range is also expanding as the brand’s reputation continues to thrive so I’m excited about the future.”
Mike, who has a keen interest in rugby in both Ireland and the UK, inherited his passion for the game from his father who played at the top level. His passion for Škoda also comes from his family, as his younger brother owns two dealerships in Bedford and Letchworth.
“You could say that Škoda is in my blood,” adds Mike. “I have had plenty of support and advice from my brother, for which I’m very grateful.”
