Toyota unveils mobility pilot project in France and UK
|
|
Programme, created in Japan in the 1960s, supports the mobility needs of Toyota owners and/or
family members with physical disabilities.
Toyota is the first automobile manufacturer in Europe to introduce its own original seats for
disabled/mobility impaired passengers. These will be available in the Yaris, Corolla and Corolla
Verso. The first items to be made available will be a front passenger swivel Seat and, for Corolla
Verso, an automatic, lift-up front passenger seat. Being original equipment they can of course be
matched to the vehicle’s interior trim. The pilot project is being launched in conjunction with
Autoadapt, a specialist mobility company, based in Sweden.
The Toyota dedicated products will be displayed for the first time in France during the ‘Salon
Autonomic’ in Paris from June 7-9 and introduced at the Mobility Roadshow from June 8-10 at
Kemble Airfeld in the U.K.
