MAzda photo competition: The Hunt for Zoom-Zoom is on

21 luglio 2006

Mazda Motor Europe announced today the official start of a Zoom-Zoom photo competition that will run until September this year, with the grand prize of a new Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe. Europeans are encouraged to send in photos of a moment that best expresses Mazda’s Zoom-Zoom philosophy.

“The exhilaration we felt as a child shooting down a hill on our bike, this is what Zoom-Zoom means at its most basic level,” said Masahiro Moro, Vice President for Marketing at Mazda Motor Europe. “And this thrill of movement is what Mazda wants to deliver with every car we design and build. The photo contest’s goal is to capture this ‘emotion of motion’ in a single photograph. It will be a challenge, but worth the effort, since the grand prize winner will get to experience what Zoom-Zoom is on a daily basis with a new MX-5 Roadster Coupe.”

Europeans* may submit their Zoom-Zoom photos in digital form at zoomzoomphoto.com, and vote online for their favourite picture, until close-of-business on 18 September. Online votes will then be counted to pre-select a shortlist of 30 photos. Out of these, ten overall winning photos will be selected by a jury that will include professional photographers, Dingo and Bo Hylen, along with well-known creative director, Eddy Greenwood.

The winners will be announced online on 25 September – submitters of the nine runner-up photos will receive prizes including Bose®home entertainment and audio systems – with the grand prize winner presented with the keys to a new Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe (with power retractable hard top) at this year’s Paris Motor Show. Please contact you local Mazda PR manager for more details.

*Anyone, including journalists, living in Europe, of any age or nationality, who is not an employee of Mazda, is eligible to participate.
