DaimlerChrysler Sells DEBEOS to ISS Facility Services

DaimlerChrysler   has sold DaimlerChrysler Objektmanagement und Service GmbH (DEBEOS) to ISS, the international facility services Group with global headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

DEBEOS is active in the business fields technical facility management, catering, media, logistics, security, HR services and hotels. Its activi-ties include running the staff restaurant at the former Möhringen Group headquarters, the Group's own conference center, Haus Lämmerbuckel in Wiesensteig as well as the Mo.hotel in Stuttgart-Vaihingen. DEBEOS also manages the buildings of DaimlerChrysler Bank in Stuttgart.

DEBEOS has a total of 581 employess, and generated revenues of €94.5 million in 2005.

ISS is an international provider of integrated facility services. The company employs more than 375,000 people in 47 countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia and its revenues totaled €6.2 billion in 2005. The sale is part of the ongoing measures to increase efficiency and optimize portfolios, with the aim of improving the return on net assets (RONA).

The agreement is subject to approval from the anti-trust authorities and given this approval, the closing is scheduled to take place in the fourth quarter.
