Team Australia will feature on the TLC series ‘Hard Shine’ this Thursday 30 August 2007 at 10:00pm ET and again on Friday 31 August 2007 at 12:00am during the Turbo Charge programming block.

Jimmy Shine is a famous hot-rod builder out of the SO-CAL Speed Shop in Pomona, California. He’s been around the block, taken the wrong road, but got back on track when SO-CAL Speed Shop’s president, Pete Chapouris took him in.

Now it’s Jimmy’s turn to give back as he hired five trainees, who themselves have had obstacles to overcome and desire a new road. One lucky member of the show will be chosen to stay and work full-time at the SO-CAL Speed Shop with Jimmy.

The rookies and Jimmy make the trip to Indianapolis, Indiana and Portland, Oregon to work in the Team Australia’s Indianapolis workshop and at the Portland Grand Prix to work with the crew from Team Australia and get a taste of what it’s really like to be a part of professional racing team, away from what they are used to, building hot-rods.

The trio became members of the team for a day, getting to practice pit stops and help the Aussie Vineyards team out with various jobs, all making for some interesting television.
