Fiat launches clean, Green Eco event at Flagship

A money-saving survey, the chance to drive a CO2 emissions-reducing simulator and a close-up look at the innovative Panda Aria concept car are some of the exciting features lined up for a Fiat interactive environment event in London this month.

The forward-thinking DR1VE ECO experience, which runs from 17-28 June at Fiat’s stunning new Fiat Marylebone flagship store in the heart of the capital, will aim to educate and entertain visitors with its blend of interesting ideas and thought-provoking information.

Visitors to the DR1VE ECO event will be able to:

Take the Eco Survey – and find out whether they could reduce fuel consumption and save money by adjusting the way they drive;

Take a drive on the Eco Simulator – and test their driving skills to find out how they could reduce CO2 emissions behind the wheel;

See the Panda Aria concept car – Fiat’s futuristic city car, which was exhibited at this year’s Geneva Motor Show with a petrol/methane-hydrogen fuel management system, upholstery made from eco-compatible materials such as woven coconut fibre, and eco-resin body panels.

Guests will also discover more about Fiat’s ECO-credentials. The company has recorded the lowest average CO2 emission value – 137.3 g/km for vehicles sold in 2007 – as recorded by JATO Dynamics, world leader for consultancy and research in the automotive field.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to show customers and anyone interested in helping the environment, what Fiat is currently doing in this important field,” says Tony Dittli, Managing Director of Fiat Marylebone.

“There will be lots of exciting things to see and do and I am sure visitors will enjoy the experience, while taking something worthwhile away with them.”

Fiat has recently launched the Bravo 1.6 16v MultiJet Eco in the UK – a mid-size hatchback that nevertheless returns 62.8 mpg and has a CO2 emissions output of just 119 g/km. It will be on display at the flagship along with other fuel-sipping models such as the 500 1.2 Petrol and 1.3 16v MultiJet, Grande Punto 1.3 16v MultiJet, and Panda 1.3 16v MultiJet.

Every visitor to the store who takes the Eco Survey will receive a card for London travel worth £8, redeemable on all public transport in London. For full terms and conditions visit www.fiat.co.uk/flagship

Fiat Marylebone is situated at 105 Wigmore Street, London W1U 1QY, and will be open for DR1VE ECO from 9.30 am until 7.00 pm Monday to Friday; and 11.00 am until 6.00 pm on Saturdays.
