Nürburgring 2009: Nürburgring and Aston Martin extend relationship

Nürburgring GmbH is pleased to announce that British luxury sports car manufacturer Aston Martin is to increase its involvement with the Nürburgring.
Having recently opened its own test centre near the circuit, Aston Martin will next year open a showroom and two VIP lounges located next to the Grand Prix track.

Power, beauty and soul - three words that perfectly describe the character of Aston Martin, one of the most exclusive and prestigious sports car brands in the world. Car enthusiasts and fans of the 94-year-old marque will soon have even more reasons to visit the Nürburgring. At the opening of its new facilities at the track in June 2009, Aston Martin will be displaying examples of its product range in a stunning new 240 square metre showroom where it will also offer a range of merchandise as well as information about the brand.

In addition, Aston Martin’s showroom on the new ringoboulevard will provide direct access to its business lounge in the new grandstand, while another VIP lounge, overlooking the track and race paddock, will be located directly opposite, in the pit building.

Aston Martin’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ulrich Bez - a regular competitor in the famous Nürburgring 24 hour race - commented: "The Nürburgring has played an important part in the development of our cars in recent years and of course we have a fine racing pedigree here too. We are therefore extremely pleased to be able to demonstrate our bond with the Nürburgring even more clearly by extending our involvement.”

"Aston Martin is an emotive, internationally recognised brand that conveys classic values and builds ultramodern sports cars," says Walter Kafitz, Nürburgring's managing director. The Nürburgring represents many of the same values as Aston Martin, and I am therefore extremely proud of our cooperation. I am certain that owners and drivers of these exclusive cars will benefit from Aston Martin's presence on the Boulevard, as will the numerous fans, who are just as enthusiastic about the Aston Martin legend as they are about the Nürburgring's 'Green Hell'".

The new Aston Martin showroom will occupy a central position on the ringoboulevard. Between now and June 2009, an upmarket shopping complex complete with the showrooms of leading auto manufacturers and suppliers, restaurants and merchandise stores will be built alongside the racing track. A ring°arena, the welcome°center and the WARSTEINER Event-Center will also be available year-round to host events, providing more service and choice than ever before for new and existing target groups.
