Giancarlo Fisichella happy with Force India for 2009

17 agosto 2008

Giancarlo Fisichella says he is happy to keep racing for Force India beyond 2008.

Team supremo Vijay Mallya this week said he is "happy" with both Fisichella, the Roman veteran of more than 200 grands prix, and his German teammate Adrian Sutil.

It is believed both Sutil and Fisichella, who is 35, are already under contract for the 2009 season.

"I am very happy with what Vijay said about his drivers," Fisichella, currently holidaying with his family on his yacht, told F1's official website.

"I think that Adrian and I show strength and great team spirit. As I said before, I am very happy with Force India, I have a contract for 2009 and never saw myself out of it," he added.
