Timo Glock recovered after Valencia cold

05 settembre 2008

Timo Glock at Spa-Francorchamps said he is feeling well, after struggling through the Valencia weekend two weeks ago with a heavy cold.

Having achieved his maiden podium in Hungary, the Toyota driver was then less competitive on the streets of the Spanish port city, qualifying 13th and finishing 7th while his teammate Jarno Trulli had an outstanding weekend.

"It's still there a little bit," Glock, 26, told Switzerland's Motorsport Aktuell when asked about his cold, "but I am feeling good again."

He said he pushed through the pain barrier during the Valencia race.

"If I would have been driving for places 11 or 12, I might have given up," Glock explained. "But because I was fighting for points, I bit my lip."

Apart from his test day at Monza, Glock said he recovered from Valencia by neglecting his usual training regime and "sleeping a lot".
