Boss denies no BMW focus on Kubica

12 settembre 2008

BMW boss Mario Theissen has rejected driver Robert Kubica's claim that the focus of the team's attention should return to him.

After an unhappy Belgian grand prix, the Pole voiced his discontent about BMW-Sauber helping teammate Nick Heidfeld back to form while falling "asleep" in other areas.

"Maybe the priority of late for the team was a bit different from myself," he confirmed to reporters at Monza.

To the German news agency SID, Theissen denied that Heidfeld is BMW-Sauber's focus, rather than thinking about the small possibility that Kubica is still in the hunt for the 2008 title.

"It it simply not correct," the German said. "We have put a lot into Nick, but we also did that with Robert, when he was having problems last year."
