Ferrari drivers to work together

24 settembre 2008

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo says he is "confident" the team's drivers will work together to deliver the titles in 2008.

Amid fierce speculation in Italy that world champion Kimi Raikkonen should now concede the 2008 honours and fully support teammate Felipe Massa's campaign, the newspaper La Stampa asked Montezemolo for confirmation of this strategy for the remaining four races.

"I am confident, and so are Kimi and Felipe," he answered.

Montezemolo was asked what Ferrari can do if Raikkonen does not want to back Massa's charge for the drivers' championship.

"When drivers want to race only for themselves, it is better that you show them how to race for the team," he answered.
