Singapore: drivers happy with night track lights

27 settembre 2008

Nick Heidfeld, a night race sceptic prior to Friday's action, declared himself happy with the Singapore circuit following three hours of free practice.

"The light is the smallest problem," the BMW-Sauber driver is quoted as saying by the German news agency SID.

"After a few laps you no longer notice that it is night," he added.

Williams' Nico Rosberg agrees that the lighting is not a major concern.

"It's a lot of fun," said the 23-year-old. "It is a little more difficult to see than usual, but it isn't a problem.

"The track is so bumpy that it gives you a headache," Rosberg added.

Honda's Rubens Barrichello reports that "there seems to be a dark spot" at turn 5.
