Kimi Raikkonen cool on race lap record

Despite crashing out of fifth place in Singapore last weekend, the 28-year-old Finn's best tour remained unbeaten throughout the 61 lap night race.
The feat drew even with his Ferrari predecessor Michael Schumacher's 2004 record; a mantle Raikkonen equalled as a McLaren driver in 2005.
But he said on Thursday: "The fastest race laps aren't worth anything, if you don't combine them with the situation when they really count."
Raikkonen, who has conceded he will not be able to re-join the battle for this year's championship with his teammate Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton, said he is "really sad" about his current trough.
"I can't explain this dark period and there's nothing I can do to change what has happened," the Finn added.
"This is definitely not my year. It seems as if the more we try to improve the situation the less we get in the end."
