Red Bull mogul Dietrich Mateschitz has hinted that David Coulthard will indeed move into the F1 commentary box after he hangs up his racing helmet in 2008.

Speculation throughout the season has suggested that the Scottish veteran is set to join his manager Martin Brundle for the television coverage of formula one on Britain's BBC next year.

Mateschitz, who owns Coulthard's current employer Red Bull Racing, is quoted as saying by Motorsport Aktuell: "He is going to remain with us, but will have commitments outside of the team as well."

37-year-old Coulthard's replacement at RBR will be the highly rated Sebastian Vettel, leaving potentially two openings at the sister team Toro Rosso.

"We are exploring all possibilities and (Sebastien) Bourdais is still in the race," Mateschitz confirmed. "Overall the alternatives are not abundant."
