Sebastien Loeb warms up for F1 Barcelona test

15 novembre 2008

Multiple world rally champion Sebastien Loeb this week prefaced his Red Bull test with a shakedown at Silverstone.

The 34-year-old Frenchman, who made his F1 test debut last year in a Renault, will join the group action at Barcelona next week.

At the British grand prix venue in Northamptonshire, Loeb got used to his custom moulded Seat and driving position over about 30 laps of the short Silverstone layout, in appalling weather conditions.

In a sponsor tie-in with his Red Bull-backed rally team Citroen, he will test the Renault-powered contender alongside F1's regular stars at the Circuit de Catalunya on Monday.

"I don't have a target for times in Spain," Loeb said after his practice laps. "I want to go there, enjoy myself and get the most out of the day."
