Andretti Green Racing qualifying reports - Motegi

18 aprile 2008

Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"The Motorola car is okay right now, but we need to find more front grip.  In practice yesterday, I was fighting understeer, so once the track grips up I think we will have a great run on Saturday."

Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"Obviously it's unfortunate we didn't get to qualify today because the Team 7-Eleven car was the quickest car on the track yesterday.  But, we're starting third and we've had good results at Motegi in the past, so I'm hopeful we'll be able to get the race in tomorrow."

Marco Andretti, #26 Alpine Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"I'm not too disappointed that qualifying got rained out because it isn't the most important thing here.  The most important thing is to have a good race car and we definitely have that.  I am very happy with the Alpine car and hopefully we'll get to race tomorrow."

Hideki Mutoh, #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone

"I knew it was going to rain today, but I was hoping we would've be able to qualify.  I will be starting from the 9th position, so I think I have a good chance of moving up the field during the race.  It would have been nice to have more time on the track yesterday, but I will do my best tomorrow.  Hopefully, the Formula Dream car will be in victory circle this weekend."
