Indy team rejects Barrichello reports

24 aprile 2008

The IndyCar team Andretti-Green has blanked reports that said Rubens Barrichello could switch from formula one for the 2009 season.

The reports also suggested that the 35-year-old Brazilian might be replaced at Honda next year by Andretti-Green's 21-year-old driver Marco Andretti.

"News to me," an Andretti-Green spokesman told motorsport.com.

He said the reports had "absolutely blindsided" him.

"I've not seen that," he added. "Nobody here's got a clue. The only thing official is he's not here. Nobody is confirming it."
