Andretti Green Racing Qualifying Reports Indianapolis

11 maggio 2008

Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"The Motorola car did well today.  I wish that we could have found some more speed, but unfortunately we didn't.  Believe me, it was not from a lack of trying.  My crew did a great job getting me a car that was capable of staying up front with the guys that had the fastest cars of the day.  It was a great day for Andretti Green Racing, because we got all four cars in."

Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"I have to thank Marco (Andretti) and Danica (Patrick) for the setup today.  I tried a different setup this morning and it did not work so we had to take the car apart before qualifying and put on their setup.  We had a decent qualifying run and we really just wanted to put the Team 7-Eleven car in the race.  We're starting in the second row and that's not bad.  Now we can spend the rest of practice working on our race setup and making the car as quick as possible."

Marco Andretti, #26 Indiana Jones/Blockbuster Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"During the second attempt, I was on the edge of lifting in each turn on every lap and as the grip came off throughout the run, it got tougher.  Unfortunately I think we may have lost the balance from the practice session this morning with the way that track conditions changed.  We were able to get the Indiana Jones/Blockbuster car in the field and that was the important thing.  We would have liked the pole, but we're in and that gives us the ability to spend next week working on race setup.  You can win this race from any position so as long as we're in, we're happy."

Hideki Mutoh, #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone

"Most of all I am glad that I was able to qualify and stay in top 11 today. After we got disqualified after the first qualifying attempt, I became so nervous but Formula Dream car was good so I did my best to set a consistent time at the second attempt. I am the fastest rookie at this point and it feels great!  I would like to thank my team for giving me a great car and working so hard for today. I am looking forward to have more track time and prepare myself for the race day."
