Audi takes class win at Sebring

ALMS: The Audi R10 TDI remains unbeaten after 22 races. In a turbulent 12-hour race at Sebring (US state of Florida), Audi achieved a 1-2 victory in the LM P1 category with their diesel-powered sports cars. Following eight Sebring victories in a row, however, Audi had to be content with class glory in the American endurance classic for the first time. In the overall classification, the two R10 TDI prototypes finished third and sixth.
 
Audi in "Hall of Fame" at Sebring
 
ALMS: Since last Friday, Audi has a place in the "Hall of Fame" of Sebring. The famous US racetrack honoured the series of Audi victories in the 12-hour classic. Also inducted into the "Hall of Fame" was former Audi factory driver Hans-Joachim Stuck, who since the beginning of this year, is a motorsport consultant for the Volkswagen Group and a three-time winner of the Sebring 12 Hours.
 
Markus Winkelhock sets fastest time at Mugello
 
DTM: During his first official appearance as an Audi factory driver, Markus Winkelhock impressed by setting the fastest time: The German achieved the best time of the three-day official DTM tests at Mugello (Italy) at the wheel of the Playboy Audi A4 DTM. With his lap of 1m 42.132s, he beat last year’s pole time by 1.7 seconds.
 
Two Audi RS 4 cars in the Superstars Series
 
Superstars: Audi Sport Italia continue in the Italian Superstars Touring Car Series for the 2008 season. The Italian Audi importer will race two Audi RS 4 cars for defending champion Gianni Morbidelli and Giorgio Sanna. The season starts at Vallelunga on 20 April. A total of eight events are on the schedule including a race combined with the DTM at Mugello on 4 May.
