Ken Schrader returns to the n. 21 Little Debbie Ford at New Hampshire International Speedway

13 settembre 2007

The Wood Brothers/JTG race team has announced that Ken Schrader will return behind the wheel of the No. 21 Little Debbie Ford Fusion for this weekend’s Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway. The move to return Schrader behind the wheel was made in light of the current owner points scenario, which has the No. 21 team now inside the top-35 for the second straight week.

Schrader previously agreed to step aside back in May and Bill Elliott took over the ride with a Past Champion Provisional start available, if needed. Through his 14 starts for the Wood Brothers/JTG race team, Elliott has only used one of the six available to him for the remainder of the year. During Elliott’s time behind the wheel, he took the team from 40th in the owner points to 35th.

WHAT THE TEAM HAS TO SAY
Ken Schrader, driver of the No. 21 Little Debbie Ford:
“I’m really excited to get back to driving the Little Debbie Ford. I think the time that I’ve spent racing in the Craftsman Truck Series and all of the personal racing, I’ve not only kept busy, but sharp. I look forward to working with Michael McSwain this weekend and see if we can’t come up with a setup and a plan that keeps this team moving forward.”

Eddie Wood, team owner of the No. 21 Little Debbie Ford:
“It’s been a long climb for us and it is most certainly not over yet. I feel like the fight to get in the top-35—and stay in the top-35 is probably going to come down to the wire this year. As for what happens next week or the week after that, we just don’t know right now. For us, it’s going to come down to a common sense decision depending on where we end up with the points. That’s been our reality all year long.”
