With the entry list for the China Rally this weekend now confirmed, one of the main highlights of the event will be the battle to decide both the drivers and manufacturers' championships in the IRC 2WD Cup.

Fiat Punto diesel driver Marco Cavigioli heads to Shaowu three points behind Honda Civic Type R driver Alessandro Bettega in the overall standings ? but Bettega is not making the long trip to China. Cavigioli therefore needs to score at least four points to be sure of claiming the title: in other words he needs to finish in fifth place or higher.

Two of the leading entries come from Finns driving Mitsubishis: Juha Salo and Jarkko Miettinen. Both have experience of World Rally Championship events and are likely to lead the way over the challenging stages of China. New Zealander Bryan Green, who competed on the Rally China last year, is also likely to be a front runner.
Mitsubishi is the best-represented marque, but there are also entries from Fiat, Honda and Volkswagen.

The rally takes place from December 5-7.
