First races of Ferrari Racing Days at Hockenheim

The road continues to the Ferrari World Finals, at the Mugello Circuit from 24 to 28 October, when also present for its traditional demonstration will be Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, the team that has already taken the 2007 Formula 1 Constructors' World Championship title.
This weekend's "Ferrari Racing Days" event at the German Hockenheim circuit is in fact the final round on this year's calendar for Corse Clienti of Maranello, prior to the final party.

The first day of racing in Germany saw victory go to Philipp Baron in the European Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy for the F430 cars. The Austrian Baron Service team driver managed to get home ahead of France's Ange Barde (Stradale Automobile) and the German Bjorn Grossmann (Autohaus Gomm.)
The Shell Cup in the same one-make series, for gentlemen drivers was run in two parts, because of a spectacular crash, in which no one was hurt, but involved several runners. Overall victory, calculated by adding the times together went to Angel Santos (Spain - Cars Barcelona,) ahead of Wido Roessler (Germany - Tamsen) and Ronnie Kessel (Switzerland - Kessel Racing) in second and third places respectively.

In the other European series, the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge, featuring Prancing Horse jewels of the past, as well as cars from the Trident marque, victory went to the German, Stefan Schollwoeck (1932 Maserati 4CM) in Grid A and Britain's Irvine Laidlaw twice: at the wheel of a 1957 Maserati 250 S in the B race and with a 1972 Ferrari 312 in the C class.

Sunday's programme at Hockenheim includes the next round of races as well as demonstrations from the single-seaters prepared by Ferrari F1 Clienti, including around ten ex-Schumacher cars.
