Andretti Green Racing Testing Report Homestead-Miami Open Test, Homestead-Miami Speedway

02 marzo 2008

Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone
“We really were struggling at the beginning of the test. The speed was there, but the car did not feel right. We ended up having a great run in the Motorola car near the end, especially running up with the Ganassi and Penske guys. If we can keep the speed that I had tonight when we are back in the few weeks, I think the Motorola car will be one of the best cars out there.”

Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
“We were able to find speed in the Team 7-Eleven car on the first day and that made us happy. Between the four AGR cars, I think we were able to collect a lot of information that will be helpful for the race weekend.”

Marco Andretti, #26 Dallara/Honda/Firestone
“We were able to run quite a few laps over the two days and I feel like we got a lot of valuable information out of the test. We would have liked to have been quicker, but we feel good about the car we have. We didn’t come here to work on our qualifying setup. We came to work on getting a car that was capable of winning the race and we made a lot of progress over the two days.”

Hideki Mutoh, #27 Panasonic Dallara/Honda/Firestone
“The test at Homestead-Miami Speedway was very productive and I feel more comfortable in the Panasonic car. I was able to drive in traffic with my teammates and the Ganassi and Penske cars, so I feel a little more comfortable in traffic then I was at Chicagoland. This track is so different from Chicagoland so I concentrated on learning the track as well as pit stops. I would like to practice more pit stops and learn the tracks as fast as possible in the 2008 season. I am looking forward to the test at Sebring International Raceway.”
