Scuderia Playteam SaraFree is ready for round two of GT Open season

16 maggio 2008

The 2008 International GT Open season kicked off on 20 April 2008 at Vallelunga near Rome. It was a good weekend for Scuderia Playteam SaraFree, and something the team is aiming to build on in the second round of the season at Valencia, Spain.

The team's two driver pairings of Montermini-Maceratesi in Ferrari F430 no. 3 and Giao-Couceiro in Ferrari F430 no. 4 are determined to build on their strong start of the season at Valencia. With its twisty layout, the Valencia circuit will make for a very close weekend. Scuderia Playteam SaraFree is counting upon its driver talent to overcome the 25" handicap car no. 3 will be subject to.

Andrea Montermini commented: "Valencia brings back nice memories. I won here in 2006, and last year we finished fourth and fifth. We are coming to Valencia as the championship leaders, but we will have to fight hard to overcome the 25 second handicap. In any case we will do our best to bring back as many points as possible. This year we cannot waste any opportunities. We will do our best as always."

Pedro Couceiro commented: "I love the Valencia circuit as I have taken a number of wins here already. I hope that this trend will continue and be uninterrupted with Scuderia Playteam Sarafree. I hope that we can have a good race and that we will be able to have a good race despite the size of the field. It will be very busy on the track. With Manuel Giao we know the track well and we hope to be as strong as in Vallelunga. We have no handicap. It will be a good advantage for our car."
