Motaworld Racing Goes Global

Hot on the heels of its Hockenheim success, where tenth place for Mathijs Harkema was the best Formula BMW Europe result so far for the squad, Motaworld Racing has announced its intention to cast its net wider and compete in the final three rounds of the Formula BMW Pacific championship.

In addition to fulfilling its commitment to the Formula BMW Europe series the Chatham-based squad will now take part in the support races to the Formula One grands prix at Singapore and Shanghai, as well as appearing with the headline Formula Three event at Macau.

Motaworld Racing has already signed one driver for the Formula BMW Pacific events and there is strong interest in the remaining two seats.

Team owner Alan Waite said “We are very excited about competing in these final three rounds as valuable preparation for a full Formula BMW Pacific campaign next year. We will also continue to build on our success with another season in Formula BMW Europe.”

Alf Boarer, Motaworld’s driver manager, commented “This is a fantastic opportunity for young drivers at the end of the European season to continue with valuable driving experience on grand prix circuits such as Singapore and Shanghai. And it’s an ideal opportunity to race on the testing street circuit at Macau before they graduate to the blue riband F3 event.”
