The final race of the 2008 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Silverstone, saw reigning champion Fabrizio Giovanardi claim his second podium of the day. The draw for round 27 started Giovanardi from tenth on the grid, but he drove a consistent race and showed the true form of a champion to finish third.

Starting from seventh on the grid, Matt Neal fell to fifteenth after a number of incidents caused heavy traffic mid-way through his race. The draw saw Tom Onslow-Cole start from fifth position, who ran a clean race to finish sixth overall.

Mat Jackson from BMW Dealer Team UK won the race with a time of 26:03.875.
